Anneal of Stainless Steel 310 Flat Washers should be done at 1900 Degree F – 2050 Degree F (1038 Degree C – 1121 Degree C), and then water quench or rapidly air cool. These Stainless Steel 310S Lock Washers are also used in the chemical process industry to contain hot concentrated acids, ammonia, and sulfur dioxide. SS 310 Sealing Washers can be drawn, headed, upset and stamped, although this steel has high work hardening rate.

Because of these and other benefits, SS 310S Split Washers are utilized by many different industries for a number of critical applications. Alloy 310 Slot Washers can be then quenched rapidly, because oxyacetylene welding is not recommended. Alloy 310S Machine Washers is used in Carburizing Annealing Boxes; Sulfite Liquor Handling Equipment; Kiln Liners; Boiler Baffles; Refinery and Chemical Processing Equipment; and more.

310 Stainless Steel Star Washers resists oxidation up to 1900 Degree F (1038 Degree C) under non-cyclic conditions. It is common for 310S Stainless Steel Wire Spring Washers to be used in the same piece of equipment in the various temperature regions. Their fusion point is lower than that of non-alloyed steels; therefore Stainless Steel UNS S31000 Flat Spring Washers have to be welded with lower heat input than non-alloyed steels.
